READ.COM An ASCII file displayer, read the batch file FROMJOHN.BAT, it explains how to use READ.COM. 13. STEP.BAT Sophisticated batch file. STEP.BAT allows you to single step any of your batch files =if= you have MS-DOS Version 6.2. If you don't it will give you an error message telling you there is no such "switch" associated with COMMAND.COM. This is an incredible advance for batch file testing! Until MS-DOS 6.2, you were "flying blind" to try to find out why a batch file didn't do what you wanted. This program CAN make you a batch file POWER maker.... Now what do think of that! 14. TEST_DRV.BAT Sophisticated batch file. Uses DBL.BAT to check all drives to see if they are Compressed. If you are interested in how MS- DOS "thinks," consider "stepping" this with STEP.BAT and then doing it again with DBL2.BAT. Enough Said.... John De Palma on CompuServe 76076,571
